Deploying Adobe CS 3 updates with LANrev

Deploying Adobe CS 3 updates for Macintosh

CS 3 updates that come in PKG format can be deployed natively as-is with LANrev's Software Distribution Center (SDC). For updates that are plugins repackage them as either a PKG or DMG with LANrev's InstallEase package creation utility before deploying them with the LANrev SDC. Use the instructions below to distribute updates that come in Adobe Patcher format.

1. Download the following shell script LANrev_Update_CS3_Products.sh here.
2. Make sure that the Execute permission as been set for this shell script.
3. Place this shell script in a folder along with the AdobePatcher.app application.
4. In the SDC package definition, choose the LANrev_Update_CS3_Products.sh as the executable and check 'Transfer all files in folder containing executable'.
5. Pick the installation option to install as 'Current logged-in user' and check 'Requires admin privileges'.

Deploying Adobe CS 3 updates for Windows

CS 3 updates that come in MSP format can be deployed natively as-is with LANrev's SDC. For updates that come in Adobe Updater format specify the updater EXE as the 'Executable' and "-silent" as the 'Executable options' in the software package definition for the patch.
