How LANrev handles user installation options for packages when no user is logged in

Problem:

How does the LANrev agent handle the various user interaction options for packages when there is no one logged in locally on the client machine?

Solution:

If the user interaction option for the package is set to "Install without Asking", "Inform user before installation", or "Allow to reschedule" and the package is not set to "Install when: A user is logged in" then the installation will proceed automatically at the login screen without any user input.

If you want a user to be aware of and able to control the installation, check the "Install when: A user is logged in" installation option. Picking the "Allow User to refuse" user interaction option will automatically enable the "Install when: A user is logged in" option for you. Because of this, packages that can be refused will not be installed at the login screen. Users will later be prompted to install them by the software distribution dialog box after they have logged in.
