Question:
Is there anything I should watch out for when I want to create a master image for imaging new machines that is to include the LANrev Agent?
Answer:
On Mac OS X you have to make sure the the LANrev Agent serial number file is not part of the image. The file is located at /Library/Preferences/com.poleposition-sw.lanrev_agent_serialnumber.plist. For Windows computers you must delete the AgentSerialno registry value before taking the image. It is located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Pole Position Software\LANrev Agent\AgentSerialno. Note that you must delete the AgentSerialno value itself and not just clear the data for this value.
