Hello.
Currently I have my LANRev server on a xserver with mac OS X 10.5 and now with backup issues and other things I would like to migrate the whole master staging server from OS X to Windows. Is there any easy way to do that?
Sync them up as master and slave and then change the slave to master?
/Jens

In general here's what you need to do.
Migrate server data
1. Stop the LANrev server on the both existing Mac server and the new Windows server.
2. Copy all the .db files from the old Mac server (/Library/Application Support/LANrev Server) to the new Windows server (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Pole Position Software\LANrev Server).
3. Restart both servers.
Move the master staging server if it's hosted on the same system
1. Copy the packages root path from the old Mac server to the new Windows server.
2. Log into the new Windows server and change the master staging server definition to point to the new system.
3. Change the packages root path to point to the folder where you copied it to and pick "Manually Copy Folder" when prompted.
